Vandehey, Nora (23 May 1876 - 23 Feb. 1954)
Mrs. Nora Vandehey died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Noel Schelling, Tuesday morning, Feb. 23rd, after a prolonged illness. Funeral services were held Friday morning in St. Bernard’s Catholic church, Rev. Raymond Schultz officiating, and burial was made in the Loyal cemetery.
Mrs. Vandehey, formerly Nora F. Kennedy, was born May 23, 1876, in Halder, and was married there to James Vandehey, Jan. 21, 1896. She received her education in Halder and Mosinee. They operated a farm near Abbotsford for a number of years, and three years ago, she moved to Abbotsford, Wis. She was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic church and of the Altar Society.
Surviving are five sons, Elmer and Ray Vandehey of Abbotsford, Grant Vandehey of Escanaba, Mich., Leonard Vandehey of Auburndale and James C. Vandehey of Kaukauna; three daughters, Mrs. Leo Rice and Mrs. Adonis Dalberto of Iron Mountain, Mich., and Mrs. Noel Schelling of Abbotsford, 21 grand children and five great grand children. Her husband, a daughter, a son, three sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.
